Photo Contest "Nature Around Us” - Rules for participation

1. Participate in the photo competition can be full-time students, postgraduates and young scientists.
2. To participate in the competition you need up to 10 May 2011 to send photographs by e-mail: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . Subject: "Contest". The letter also must include:
Name of the author
Place of study / work
Position
Contact phone
E-mail
3. No more than 2 photographs of a single author allow to participate in the photo competition.
4. Photo size should be at least 1024x768 pixels and no more than 1600x1200 pixels with file size not exceeding 2 MB. Competitive images must be in JPG, JPEG.
5. In the photo competition it can only be used photos, the author of which is the contestant, and the rights of which have not been transferred to other persons.
6. Computer processing of pictures. Allowed: cropping, converting to black and white and sepia, the simple touch-up (to correct flaws). Prohibited: installation, use of effects and software filters.
7. All photos are pre-selected by the program committee of the conference. Photos that do not match the format of the competition, will not take part. Also, if we detect any obvious and proven plagiarism or attempts to put other people's photographs to the contest (in case of such a situation), these pictures will be instantly deleted.
8. The decision on placement of your photos for the contest is determined solely by the program committee of the conference. Work, violate the conditions of the contest, will be disqualified.
9. Selected works will be posted on the conference website. After discontinuation of work (May 10) by a qualified jury it will be selected the best 3 works whose authors will be awarded prizes. Also during the conference it will be selected another work, whose author will receive the audience award.
